Henry J. Austin Health Center (HJA) has served as the major non-hospital based comprehensive primary care provider for the Greater Trenton area foe almost 30 years. HJA began as an operation of the City of Trenton in 1969 and, in 1986, was incorporated as a non-profit 501(c) (3) corporation. Located within walking distance of state Capital Buildings and the Delaware River in center New Jersey, HJA's comprehensive primary medical and dental services are accessible to the city's 88,675 residents. Trenton's residents are of widely diverse cultural, ethnic and racial backgrounds and are geographically divided along those same lines. Utilizing the Life Cycle concept, HJA's services include obstetrics and gynecology; pediatrics; family practice medicine (including adolescent health care); internal and adult medicine; urgent care; radiology; social services; pharmacy; podiatry, phlebotomy and other ancillary services. HJA is especially known for its outstanding dental services, which include oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontics and endodontics. In order to provide more comprehensive services, HJA recently renovated dental operatories to include state-of-the-art equipment. HJA is a participating provider in eight managed health care and dental care programs and provides services to over 11,000 patients annually, generating more than 32,000 patient visits. Services are provided at Austin's main site at 321 N. Warren Street, and at its two satellite facilities, Ewing Health Center and Chambers Manor Family Practice. High-risk
